“The Coldest Case,” a new detective drama out Thursday on Audible. The story is roughly four hours long and structured in nine chapters, like an audiobook. But it has the sound design and effects of a “movie without pictures,” a storytelling format that has been gaining in popularity. The cast includes “Breaking Bad” stars Aaron Paul and Krysten Ritter as Billy and Patti Harney, brother-sister detectives in Chicago. “Game of Thrones’ Nathalie Emmanuel is Billy’s partner, Kate. Beau Bridges and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (“Saved by the Bell”) also appear.
